Alain Gavin has worked as an investment director at Pall Mall Partners (PMP), a private equity/VC fund manager investing in small to mid cap businesses in the UK and Germany.
At Psion Partners he works with High Net Worth individuals and VCs/Private Equity houses.
He brings in-depth experience in managing and implementing large-scale technology and process change programs in Germany, USA and Japan.
Alain is an expert practitioner in the sourcing and closing of investment opportunities as well as post-acquisition portfolio management.
He has over 19 years of significant hands-on experience in mergers & acquisitions, turnarounds and successful development of new business
ventures.

During the last 8 years Alain has gained extensive experience in private equity style investments and divestments
from both a corporate and private equity perspective, having participated or led in the execution of 5 M&A transactions (up to 200m euros) and 2
divestments/carve-outs/part closures (up to 120m euros and 1,500 employees). In one case well over 300 euros million in additional annual revenue
was added within 3 years.
Through different ventures, Alain has worked in both B2B and consumer services sectors, building businesses from scratch four times and having
on 4 occasions up to 40m euros direct P&L responsibility growing businesses focusing on value creation and extraction.
This investment & transaction experience has been combined with operational, strategic management consultancy and strategic corporate
oversight of portfolio companies. Alain has led or taken part in 6 turnaround projects (ranging up to 400m euros in revenue) and 7 business
growth projects to push profitability and cash strength.
